Malte

Malte B. Melcher is a German composer, arranger, and music educator, working and living in Cologne. His work focuses on harnessing music’s emotional power and its ability to shape perceptions.

Following his high school education, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in music production in Hamburg and Cologne, Germany. His thesis explored auditory stylistic techniques in functional music. He furthered his knowledge at the Robert Schumann School of Music and the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, specializing in the intersection of art, acoustics, and sound engineering. His interdisciplinary studies emphasized composition for media (Prof. Andreas Grimm) and psychoacoustic phenomena (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Steffens), merging engineering insights with artistic creativity to shape his unique musical style.
