“Hänsel & Gretel – Don’t let fear eat you” started as a voluntary project for child refugees in Berlin and was initiated by German costume designer Steffi Bruhn (Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot; Almanya – Willkommen in Deutschland) and highly supported by editor Peter R. Adam (Good Bye, Lenin!; Anonymous) since an early stage. In the resulting short all roles were played by these children. Even before, Niklas had the task to find mood tracks to support the film shooting. After editing we started writing the original score together. All in all it was a pleasure to work on this beautiful project, which led to a fantastic premiere with all children and contributors at the Filmtheater am Fridrichshain in Berlin on 14th of May.
Here you can listen to a snippet of our score. We hope to present more of it later this year and surely will let you know, when the film is available online.
